The State Fund Agriculture is an institution burdened with huge responsibilities to agricultural producers. We are working on the optimization of the overall activity. I assure you that while I am at Head of the Fund, the way of work will change dramatically. It will be transparent and for the benefit of the farmers. This was said by the Executive Director of the Paying Agency Boris Mihailov during an official ceremony, at which 22 beneficiaries received their contracts under the RDP 2014-2020, at a total value of BGN 12 million. Of these, 7 projects, amounting to over BGN 8 million, are under sub-measure 4.2. "Investments in processing/marketing of agricultural products". Under the procedure for "Development of services in all sectors and other non-agricultural activities" under sub-measure 6.4.1. "Investments in support of non-agricultural activities" projects were signed by 15 beneficiaries - for nearly BGN 3.8 million.

So far, the State Fund Agriculture has paid BGN 19.8 million (BGN 19,813,128) under the two schemes "School Fruit" and "School Milk" for the academic year 2020/2021. Of these, nearly BGN 16.5 million (BGN 16,521,512) are for deliveries made of fruits, vegetables, milk and dairy products, of fresh fruits and vegetables for schools and kindergartens. The remaining funds, amounting to BGN 542,188.62, are for reimbursement of expenses for honey delivery. The SFA also paid BGN 3,291,616 for the refund of Value Added Tax (VAT) to approved contractors.

SF Agriculture has prepared a "Guide for the beneficiary" under the Rural Development Programme 2014 - 2020 (RDP 2014 - 2020). It is intended for beneficiaries who implement grant contracts under the RDP 2014-2020 and is aimed at facilitating them by providing specific, synthesized and systematic information on their basic rights and obligations in order to ensure effective technical and financial implementation of the grant agreement.

The management of the State Fund Agriculture has prepared a Plan with measures to improve the activities of the Fund, catch up with the processing of delayed projects under the RDP 2014-2020, as well as to improve the publicity and transparency in the work. It was also approved by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Prof. Hristo Bozukov.

The Management Board of the State Fund Agriculture dismissed the Paying Agency's Executive Director Vassil Grudev. His deputies Evdokiya Krasteva and Ivan Kapitanov were also dismissed at today's meeting. A new management of the Fund was elected today. Boris Mihailov has been appointed as Executive Director of the SFA. His deputies will be Boryana Aleksova, Petya Slavcheva, Georgi Dinev and Vladimir Atanasov.
