1834 applicants have submitted projects under the Rural Development Program (RDP) during the application procedure - 2010

 

 The investment proposals submitted amount approximately to 795 millionBGN
 
The total number of applicants under the Rural Development Program (RDP)2007-2013 within the period of the application procedure for 2010, which ended on August 31, 2010, is 1834.
The analysis performed upon completion of application procedure for 2010 showed that Measure 312 “Support for the creation and development of micro enterprises” is considered the most interesting and, in particular its part for the construction of photovoltaics, tourist facilities and expansion of semi-subsistence farms. There is a considerable interest in respect of investments under EERP (European Economic Recovery Plan), namely in the field of water management, renewable energy investments, increase of competitiveness of dairy farms and the guaranteed funds under Measure 121 “Modernization of agricultural holdings”. This was announced today by the Executive Director of SF Agriculture Kalina Ilieva.
The total number of projects, the value of the investment and the amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposals within the application procedure for 2010 are as follows:
Measure 121 “Modernization of agricultural holdings”- a total of 330 projects with amount of the investment about 103,5 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposals is nearly 73 million BGN.
Measure 123 “Adding value to agricultural and forestry products”- a total of 159 projects with investment of about 304,7 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposals is approximately 152 million BGN.
Measure 141 “Supporting semi-subsistence farms” - a total of 422 projects with investment of about 6,2 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposals is approximately 6,2 million BGN.
Measure 223 “First afforestation of non-agricultural land”- a total of 20 projects with amount of the investment about 3,1 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposals is approximately 3 million BGN.
Measure 226 “Restoring Forestry Potential and Introducing Prevention Actions”- a total of 30 projects with total amount of the investment nearly 4 million BGN. The total amount of the subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposal is approximately 3,8 million BGN.
Measure 311 “Diversification into Non-agricultural Activities”- a total of 217 projects with total amount of the investment about 100 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposal is approximately 67,6 million BGN.
Measure 312 “Support for the Creation and Development of Micro-Enterprises”- a total of 656 projects with total amount of the investment about 277 million BGN. The total amount of subsidy to be paid after implementation of the investment proposal is approximately 180,5 million BGN.
As regards measures 311 and 312 applicants are most numerous in the sphere of tourism and renewable energy sources - mainly for construction of guest houses and photovoltaics. There is a substantial interest in milk processing, wine and canning industry investments, the SFA Executive Director Kalina Ilieva noted.
Under Measure 123 “Adding value to agricultural and forestry products” projects were submitted by companies that will set up dairy farms, mills, canning and milk processing enterprises, Kalina Ilieva pointed out.
Under Measure 121 “Modernization of agricultural holdings” which was particularly attractive in relation to the purchase of agricultural equipment, now attracts investments related to the fulfillment of the requirements of the Nitrate Directive, modernization of livestock breeding farms and investments under EERP.
The deadline for submission of projects under Measure 141 “Supporting semi-subsistence farms undergoing restructuring” is September 30, 2010, and under measure 142 “Setting up Producer Groups” - December 17, 2010.
The Executive Director of State Fund Agriculture Kalina Ilieva reminded that 4 new RDP measures will be opened in September - Measure 111 “Vocational training, information and extension activities”, Measure 313 “Encouragement of tourism activities” and the two municipal measures 321 and 322 “Basic services for the economy and rural population” and “Village renewal and development”.
