The State Fund for Agriculture (SFA) has ordered the payment of nearly BGN 20 million (BGN 19,431,786) in de minimis state aid to farmers raising cows, heifers, buffaloes, ewes and goats. The funds were transferred to 10,310 farmers who applied for support by February 28, 2022, inclusive.
We would like to remind you that in view of the deteriorating economic situation in the country and due to the insistence of the branch associations in the Livestock Sector, the instructions to get the aid have been changed. In this way, it became possible for breeders who have applied for support until 28 February 2022 to receive financial assistance by 7 March 2022. For all other applicants who submit their applications by the scheduled deadline for admission under the scheme which is 11 March 2022, the aid is expected to be paid by 30 March 2022.
The approved state aid budget amounts to BGN 24 million.
Farmers eligible for support under the coupled animal support schemes for the 2021 Campaign or under the Transitional National Aid Scheme for ewes and she-goats for Production (TNAS3) may apply for the aid. Breeders are supported for the eligible number of animals, after verification for implementation under the coupled support schemes for animals for Campaign 2021 or (Transitional National Aid Scheme for ewes and she-goats for Production (TNAS3)).
The purpose of the state aid is to cover part of the production costs of animal husbandry.
