At a training specially organized by the State Fund Agriculture, which took place in the Hall of VUZF, representatives of municipalities in rural regions were acquainted with the way to implement their contracts under the Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020, more effectively in technical and financial terms.
"The Paying Agency is indebted to the Bulgarian municipalities in the rural regions and to the people who live in them. I am aware of the financial, infrastructural and demographic problems in the regions. The only real opportunity to solve them is to provide fresh financial resources needed to make new investments.
This opportunity is provided with the financial support of the RDP 2014-2020. Some of the measures, such as instruments, are directly aimed at supporting the socio-economic development of small municipalities, creating new jobs, reducing poverty and ensuring a better quality of life for people." This was said by the Executive Director of the State Fund Agriculture Boris Mihaylov in his address to the participants in the seminar. The rules related to conducting of public procurements for public projects under the RDP 2014-2020, concluding of additional agreements, the procedure for preliminary and subsequent control of projects were discussed with the representatives of the municipal administrations during the training.
The beneficiaries of the State Fund Agriculture also received up-to-date information also on the way of completing the payment requests after making the investment under the Programme. The "Guide for the beneficiary under the RDP 2014 - 2020”, describing in detail the obligations under the public projects for proper implementation of the contracts, was also presented to the participants in the seminar The teams of all 232 Bulgarian municipalities from the rural regions were invited to the seminar, organized by the State Fund Agriculture.
