Farmers received a total of over BGN 7.5 million in financial support from the State Fund Agriculture - Paying Agency (SFA - PA) under the National Beekeeping Program (NPP), admission 2021. Of these, BGN 6.5 million were paid under the measures of the program, and BGN 1 million were provided in the form of credits. BGN 6,534,589 have been transferred under 1,805 applications for payment under the measures of the National Beekeeping Program. The interest in measure A for purchase of technical equipment for primary extraction and processing of bee products and in measure E for purchase of new hives, swarms and queen bees is the greatest. BGN 3,132,068 million were paid under measure A and applications for BGN 2,800,452 million were paid under measure E.
BGN 1,061,000 were provided in the form of low-interest credits so that the beneficiaries could fulfill their commitments under the approved projects of the program. During admission 2021, 222 credit applications were received under the scheme, all of which were processed on time and financed in a timely manner. Compared to the previous year, the increase in the number of loans is over 40%.
The conditions of the scheme allow a large number of farmers to secure the necessary financial resources for implementation of approved projects under Measures A, B, C and E of the NPP - purchase of new hives, swarms, queens, veterinary drugs, beekeeping equipment and attached equipment for mobile beekeeping by using credit. All interested persons, with approved projects under the National Beekeeping Program, can benefit from financing on favorable terms - an annual interest rate of 2.5% for 2021 and security by issuing a promissory note. We remind that SFA-PA applies the Credit Scheme for persons with approved projects under the National Beekeeping Program (NPP) for the tenth consecutive year .
Low-interest loans contribute to a significant increase in the absorption of funds under the beekeeping program. All information on the conditions for applying under the scheme has been uploaded on the website of the State Fund Agriculture.
