   The State Fund "Agriculture" transferred a second tranche in the amount of BGN 9,624,752 to 12,131 farmers under the scheme "Aid in the form of a discount on the value of excise duty on gas oil used in primary agricultural production" from the admission 2021. The funds paid represent the remainder of the individual amount of state aid for all farmers under the scheme.

   At the end of 2021, nearly BGN 89 million were transferred to the farmers, representing 90.24% of the approved amount of state aid. The budget for 2021 under the scheme, which reimburses the costs of farmers for purchased fuel in 2020, is BGN 100 million at a rate of BGN 0.43 per liter. The aid takes the form of a reduction in the excise duty rate on gas oil used for mechanized activities in primary agricultural production in the crop and livestock sectors.

   Farmers who have a valid application for support under the Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS) and coupled support schemes for animals for the year preceding the application for state aid are eligible. Farmers who do not fall within the scope of the coupled support schemes must have a registered livestock farm under the Veterinary Activity Act.
